Two for one sale | [posted by TMR on 31 Jul 2016] | There's two releases for the price of one today at the Cosine website; for a start we have MD201607 another slightly "quick and dirty" monthly demo release which is a reworking of code from T.M.R's workfiles and an old tune of Sack's.
But the second and more important release is Crackers' Demo 5 for the Plus/4, which has a part contributed by Cosine with code and graphics again by T.M.R and TED music from aNdy... along with three disk sides of other parts from members of the Plus/4 scene! |
Scatalogical logic | [posted by TMR on 15 Jun 2016] | There's nothing like a little "scene drama" with MD201606 - JSL Poop which takes a JSL picture called CSDb Shit and converts it to a scrolling bitmap. Code and graphical conversions by T.M.R with music provided by aNdy. |
Need... more coffee! | [posted by TMR on 30 May 2016] | MD201605 is, unsurprisingly, another entry into our Monthly Demo series; the code (which started life as example code for a DYCP but rapidly got out of hand) and graphics were put together by T.M.R, and the excellent music is courtesy of aNdy. |
Need... coffee! | [posted by TMR on 11 Apr 2016] | It was only a few weeks ago that we released MD201603 but now we'd like to present MD201604 - a "bog standard" demo on the C64 with code by T.M.R, new music by Odie and text from the same and Enigma which was put together during a little four person internal Cosine meeting yesterday. A good time was had by all and, although Kryten couldn't stay long, he hopes to get back to doing 8-bit things soon. |
More wibbly scrolling for your money | [posted by TMR on 31 Mar 2016] | The months are just flying by at the moment and, since the end of Mar is nearly upon us, here's MD201603 for your delight and delectation. Code and the character set are by T.M.R but, in a first for the Monthly Demo series at least on the C64, this one has shiny new graphics and music from aNdy! And we're pleased to announce that he's also taken the very questionable bold step of signing his life away to join Cosine - nice to have you on board!
Finally, there's more news from Odie's music studio; the latest piece to receive the remixing treatment is the main theme from our 16K cartridge game Vallation 16K and it sounds very nice as well! Why not have a listen over at Soundcloud. |
So we were asked to write an intro... | [posted by TMR on 01 Mar 2016] | Adrian at newly-minted Twitch channel Gamerz Xtreme wanted a custom-written intro that he could edit the scrolltext for and T.M.R came up with some oldschool raster bars and cosine movements. Gamerz Xtreme Intro is the release in question, stuffed full of rasters and using an old 4-Mat tune that felt appropriate since it's a remix of Rob Hubbard's Crazy Comets.
Odie has been busy as well, along with producing the sample loop used in T.M.R's side project release Macro Clone Cafe, he's also come up with a gorgeous new version of his piece A Sporting Chance - Cosine fans will also know it as the music from Blok Copy! |
