 This little onefiler was put together for release alongside INC D020 to advertise the Cosine website. The download here contains both versions which have the old Cosine website address at www.Cosine.Demon.co.uk and www.Cosine.org.uk, which went live in late 2001 (the modifications were made with am Action Replay 6 monitor).
The picture used here was originally from Neoteric, Set Piece provided the sprite font, the animation was originally drawn for Cyberwing and the music was a piece that Tonka had spare. The code is also somewhat "recycled"; the pre-sorted sprite multiplexer was an early prototype for the one that was eventually released in Spectral.
Trivia: there was some doubt in the Cosine camp as to whether this actually counts as a release in it's own right or not due to it's partially recycled nature. Eventually we were talked into it by Acidchild and, if someone else decides it's a release, who are we to argue?! |
