Another "quick and dirty" Monthly Demo release and this code is rebuilt from an old prototype that T.M.R had in his "parts box" for a few years; the entire thing has been rewritten pretty much from scratch on no less than four occasions with the most recent iteration being put together on the day of release!
Those who follow Cosine's work closely have already noted a few similarities with the Gamerz Xtreme Intro, but it's worth noting that this code uses a different technique to get lots of on-screen motion. Sack's music might also be familiar since the Atari 8-bit version was used for our 2012 release Greetz0rz and the character set was unceremoniously "borrowed" from Aladdin on the Sega Master System.
Trivia: T.M.R's original inspirations when writing the first version of this code were the intro from New Gold Dream by Logic and the second part of Upfront's Toaster. The upper and lower borders aren't open... |
