Commodore 64

T.M.R reckons that he's decrepit enough to remember the old days of the 1980s (although he often struggles to recall what he had for dinner the day before) when demo coders would just rip some graphics or sound, throw a bit of code around them and push the results out of the door to their contacts. And whilst he was mumbling about the days of old a few months ago, he bumped into The Second Ring's monthly demo series over at the CSDB and a slightly perverse idea began to form; why not try to write little one-filers to release each month?

Which is what MD201509 (or Monthly Demo - September 2015) is, the first in what could become be an ongoing series of small but perfectly formed demos for a range of 8-bit systems with a loose release schedule of one per month. We hope...

Trivia: this release is something of a tribute to the classic Beyond Force demo Charlatan from 1989. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle picture in the main part is called X-Real and was drawn by prof4d for the Spectrum - the original is monochrome and the final image has been manipulated by T.M.R in order to add colour to it via attributes and some sprite underlays.
