First 2 Layers

Once you've solved the Cross, you will want to solve the First 2 Layers. The strategy here is to solve a bottom layer corner simultaneously with the middle layer piece which it should connect to.

On these pages you can find the 42 standard configurations for the first layer corner and it's adjacent middle layer edge. I have given a standard algorithm which solves into the FR slot, and where relevant mirrors or alternative algorithms for solving into the other 3 slots. They have been subdivided into categories based on the position and orientation of the corner piece, and these categories should be small enough so as to form manageable blocks of algorithms for you to learn in just one or two sessions.

Best of luck! - DanH
